Koozie Johns

Elegant Pop/Rock band Oxford Style used Planck Music to record their song ‘Halcyon Days’ in April. Lovely bunch of musicians and good fun to work with. Looking forward to recording with them again in the future.

In March, Planck Music tracked and mixed drums for professional drummer Si Moonrock who was in recording some demonstration videos. Watch Si thumping his way through Nirvana’s classic song ‘Drain You’ on YouTube. Filmed in the Planck Studio. Awesome.

Superb London MC Seneca has come in to use Planck Studios alongside music producer Mr McG and fellow MC Nasher a couple of times over the last six months to record vocals for tracks ‘What’s British?’ and ‘This is Epic’. Seneca says: ‘It was great working with the guys at Plank Studios who bring knowledge, professionalism and enthusiasm to the table whilst allowing each artist the freedom to express themselves. Frank Turner the hugely talented British folk/punk artist has been using Planck Music for ad hoc recording sessions between legs of his current world tour. Most recently, the ex-Million Dead front-man was in the Planck studio to record demos of sixteen songs for his next album which he plans to record this summer. Top geezer.

Stickman Cartel

Glastonbury and Camden Indie Dance veterns the Stickman Cartel came in to record & produce two songs with us. Mixing Tribal rhythms, House/Dub synths, soaring epic vocals and angular guitars (think, New Order, Foals), the Planck Music team and equipment were certainly put through their paces.

In September 2011, Uk folk singer extraordinare Beans on Toast (aka Jay McAllister) came in to record and mix his third album Trying To Tell The Truth with us here at Planck Music. British folk/punk hero Frank Turner directed and produced all twelve songs over a three day period. Superb.
